ENFLOXTREAT
Enfloxtreat is 10% w/v oral solution of Enrofloxacin for Poultry (Broilers) Treatment of colibacillosis, Salmonellosis and infections caused by mycoplasma hypopneumoniae, Bordetella bronchiseptica, A ctinobacillus pleuropneumoniae, Pasteurella multocida, Haemophilus parasuis and streptococcus suis.

- A broad spectrum fluoroquinolone antimicrobila agent
Contraindications
Don’t administer in case of resistance to other quinolones because of cross resistance . In relation to fluoroquinolones a complete cross resistance exists. Do not treat animal with previous case of streptococcal infections. Do not administr in laying hens producing eggs for human consumption
Interactions
Antagonistic effects can appear during administering with chloramaphenicol macrolides or tetracyclines Enrofloxacin Absorption may reduced after administering together with magnesium or allominium.
Safety margin is up to 40 times of the therapeutic dose. However if it occurs over dosage would consist in a weekending of the spontaneous motility which disappears in discontinuing medication.
Side Effects
Fluoroquinolones, Enrofloxacin has a damaging action on articulations especially in young animals. In consequence caution must be taken in not increasing exccessively the dose and length of treatment.
Dosage
The general dosage for poultry is 0.1 ml of EFLOXACIN per kg of body weight , this obtained by administering 0.5 liter/500 liters of EFLOXACIN In case of salmonellosis the length of treatment is 5 days oral route in drinking water.
